A bit of hard selling...

Feeling very W.I. inspired this morning after a fun evening yesterday with Michelle at the Wellsway School Ladies’ Pamper Evening. Met up with a couple of our own ladies who had stands there, spent some money, drank some wine (unusually for us), and managed to hand out some leaflets for our group and a bit of propaganda for the Federation. Hopefully it will lead to some new members.

The Spring Fayre is still consuming my every waking hour! I’ve got some posters and flyers made up (thanks Vic for the design) and will be doling them out at the next meeting. Get your thinking caps on about where we can advertise.

And finally for now, there are changes afoot in the committee – more on that later…..

Getting plastered!

The hall at our new venue proved to be a perfect size for rolling around the floor which is what we seemed to spend quite a bit of time doing at our last meeting. Nigel Braybrook very kindly came along to get us plastered – well, bandaged, rather than plastered if you’re going to get technical.

We put ourselves in the recovery position, we put slings on and bandaged very lifelike plastic wounds. All good fun and served alongside our usual refreshments and a slice or two of cherry cake.

Having said that, a few of us did manage to get rather close to plastered in the Ship on the following Thursday....

Spring Fayre is really high on the agenda. Need loads of help!
Watch this space for more on that.
